What if your mixer/speaker/any piece of equipment breaks down during the performance?

All our gear is continuously checked before every concert and maintained on a regular basis.

Should, however, any piece of equipment fail, we have put a multi-tier backup system in place, that will help us to continue with the performance.

We use 4 categories to distinguish the level of failure, with category 1 being the norm, category 2 being a simple breakdown of any piece of equipment, category 3 being the worst case scenary and category 4 being the unfortunate concatenation of impossible events (think of a Hurrican in Rome on Friday 13th, while hell freezes over).

Mixer breaks down:

• Category 1: We use our main mixer
• Category 2: We use our second mixer (always on board) to continue our show.
• Category 3: We use our third mini mixer (always on board)
• Category 4: Our speakers happen to have internal mixers which will allow us to continue our performance

Speaker breaks down:

• Category 1: We use our main speakers
• Category 2: Our main speakers will be replaced by our secondary speakers
• Category 3: Our secondary speakers will be replaced by our monitor speakers
• Category 4: The show continues acapella.

Microphone breaks down:

• Category 1: We use our main microphones
• Category 2: We replace the mic with one of our 4 backup mics
• Category 3: We replace the main singers mic with one of the background vocalists mics
• Category 4: The show continues acapella.

Any instrument breaks down:

If the Keyboard breaks down the show continues with the Synthesizer. If Keyboard AND Synthesizer breaks down the show continues with a mic’ed melodica.

If the main guitar breaks down, we continue with our second guitar. If the second guitar breaks down, the show continues with bass, mandolin, keyboards and drums.

If any vocal pedal, bass or guitar amp fails, we will be able to continue the show through our P.A. system.

If one of our iPad fails as a server of our integrated WiFi delivery system, the show will continue with one of our other iPads as a server. But we know most songs by memory anyway.
